Hi! I’m Matt.

This is the page where I tell you a bit about myself and where you can see if I’m the photographer for you!

I’m Matt, your friendly neighbourhood, music-addict, coffee-loving Wedding Photographer!

I’m a northerner born and bred who’s based in Wigan with my Fiancé, Laura, who’s my partner in crime in all things music, food, coffee and exploring new places. As well as our nutty six-year-old Labradoodle, Ted, who pretty much goes wherever we travel in the UK!

I’m a huge music nerd, having played the guitar for just over 17 years, I love everything from songwriting, playing gigs, discovering new music and listening to my favourite vinyls! I’m a rocker at heart, with some of my favourite bands being the likes of Paramore, City and Colour, Death Cab for Cutie and many more!

What else is there to know? I enjoy a good TV show or Film, though I can’t deny I’ve watched How I Met Your Mother in full countless times. On top of that, I’m a massive coffee nerd - I always make sure I find the best independent coffee shop in whatever town I’m visiting!

Photography has been in my family for generations, from my Grandad owning film cameras to my Dad always having an SLR camera at hand on all our family holidays.

HOWEVER, my photography journey had a bit of a ropey beginning, starting with a photography GSCE class… which I quit after 3 months because I wanted to write songs on my guitar instead!

So, after a slight false start, my journey with photography started over 10 years ago when I bought my first DSLR camera to simply take pictures and video content for the band I played the guitar in. I was always the band member who could visualise what the music videos and photoshoots should look like!

Soon enough I was hooked, taking my camera everywhere I travelled, shooting landscapes and cities, aiming to capture the moment in every shot!

Which has led me to wedding photography, having the ability to capture a couple’s special day that shows the day as it unfolded, that can be cherished for years and even generations to come.
