Fun-Filled Wedding at Holmes Mill with Rebecca and Andrew

HOLMES MILL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Rebecca and Andrew got married at Holmes Mill in February and it was one hell of a wedding! Ever since they got in touch, I knew it was going to be a wedding to remember, and it did not disappoint!

I arrived at Holmes Mill and headed straight to the bridal room, saying hello to Rebecca and the rest of the bridal party, everyone was in high spirits and though the weather was a bit drizzly it didn’t seem to dampen their spirits! Shortly after, I was assisted by one of the bridesmaids in taking her dress to the ceremony room for some photos along with detailed snaps of the room.

INDUSTRY-ESQUE AESTHETICS

Situated in Clitheroe, Holmes Mill is a stunning, industrial-styled venue that hosts up to 150 guests, its unique ceremony room is perfect for photos of the bride’s dress before everything kicks off, nicely framed by the pillars and hanging lights around it! Once that’s boxed off along with taking a few snaps of the smaller details, I head back to the Bridal Suite to capture the rest of the morning madness.

Naturally Capturing the Day

Once back from snapping photos of the dress, bridal prep was officially in full swing with the prosecco flowing nicely! This allowed me to capture Rebecca and her bridesmaids chatting while getting their hair and make-up done. Shortly after, Rebecca gave out gifts to them, which was a nice moment to capture between the three of them.

From there, I headed to the ceremony room, where Andrew and his best man were greeting the wedding guests coming in, this is where I captured little candid moments between Andrew saying hi to family and friends. Without a wedding photographer, Rebecca would have no idea what was happening before the ceremony and how Andrew was feeling!

Then it was time for them to tie the knot! Rebecca was walked down the aisle by her dad before meeting Andrew. The ceremony was full of laughter and smiles from the couple, which can be easily seen in the photos!

After the ceremony, it was time for the confetti, which Holmes Mill has the perfect alleyway for, Combined with Andrew’s Dad playing the bagpipes, my natural style of photography truly caught every moment.

Once the confetti was done, I kept hold of the newlyweds to quickly capture some portraits before the sun went down!

Wedding Portraits At Holmes Mill

For those couples looking for a blend of traditional wedding portraits with a slight industrial look to them, Holmes Mill is the venue for you. With a selection of settings to utilise, it’s effortless to capture a wide selection of photos without them looking the same!

I absolutely love that Rebecca and Andrew where just in their own world with each other, making it easy to capture their relationship together!

Bowling and Emotional Speech Photography at Holmes Mill

When it comes to activities for guests at Holmes Mill, it’s safe to say you won’t be bored! Holmes Mill has its own Bowling alley for newlyweds and their guests to book and use before the evening reception starts! This created amazing photo opportunities such as capturing the bride from down the alley.

After that, it was time for the speeches, which are always great to capture as they’re always full of various emotions and candid moments between the couple and their guests.

Sparkler celebrations at Rebecca and Andrews Holmes Mill Wedding

Before the night went into full party mode, it was time for the Sparkler shots, which are always great way to start the celebrations with your guests at any wedding given it’s dark enough!

First Dance Celebrations and PArty Time

After the Sparklers, it was time for the cake cut and first dance, Rebecca and Andrew had actually been rehearsing their first dance in secret and wanted to surprise their wedding guests, and they absolutely smashed it! The first dance is always one of my favourite things to capture due to the candidness of the moment between the newlyweds, it always feels like they’re in their own world!

It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of Rebecca and Andrew’s day at Holmes Mill, as a documentary Photographer, capturing such an entertaining wedding full of emotion, which is what it’s all about!
